Mika Rasinkangas

President

Mika oversees Chordant business, driving its mission and strategy. Mika has 20+ years of wireless industry experience spanning from handsets to semiconductors. Prior to joining InterDigital and Chordant team, he held various strategic leadership positions at Nokia, Renesas and wireless startups in Europe and the US building, developing and steering businesses with various OEMs, ODMs, operators, semiconductor and other technology companies. Mika holds Masters of Science in Business Management from University of Oulu, Finland.


Mike Jeronis

SVP, Engineering and Operations

Mike leads Chordant’s product delivery and operations. Mike has significant engineering and organizational management experience. Prior to joining the Chordant team, he was the COO of wot.io, an InterDigital business, where he was responsible for Operations and Engineering. He also previously led InterDigital’s ASIC/DSP organization, which was responsible for chipset design and development of the InterDigital SlimChipTM product. Before Mike’s 20+ year career at InterDigital, he developed satellite-based communications systems at Lockheed Martin and developed proof-of-concept technologies for the Navy as an R&D contractor. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University and an MBA from Hofstra University.

Vanja Subotic

Sr Director, Strategic Partnerships

Vanja leads Chordant’s strategic partnerships and marketing. Vanja has 15+ years of combined technical and business experience. Prior to joining the Chordant team, Vanja’s roles included consulting with the top US MSOs, solution sales with a leading ICT solutions provider, program and product management across multiple roles, engineering and strategy planning for one of the top Canadian carriers, and a doctoral research on wireless communications systems with over fifteen publications. Vanja holds Bachelor and Doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

Ash Wheeler

SVP Europe

Ash leads Chordant’s European business, ensuring our solutions remain at the heart of the Smart City ecosystem. Ash has 20+ years of experience helping technology companies to commercialize new products and services that emerge from advanced technology innovation.  Prior to joining Chordant, Ash worked as both a Management Consultant, leading complex business transformation programmes to exploit real-time data and the Internet of Things (IoT), and as Director of large customer-facing engineering teams in Asia, Europe and the US developing and launch embedded semiconductor (SoC) and software platforms for wireless consumer devices.  Ash holds a first-class Electronic and Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Bath, UK.

Shakil Ahmed

VP, Operators

Shakil has been in the industry for over 25 years in the fields of IoT, data analytics and telecommunications. Shakil was Vice President for global business development at Worldsensing where he launched the global Software and Solution business and was instrumental to the company’s success with major Smart City projects in LATAM and APAC. Prior to this, Shakil was Vice President of Sales for EMEA at OpenCloud where he led the sales for mobile and fixed IMS core network systems helping company’s successful acquisition by Metaswitch in 2017. Shakil holds Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of London, United Kingdom and is a certified sales professional by the Miller-Heiman Academy.
